Bali is full of traffic and loud motorbikes, which is why La Timba sits in a more rural setting, on a private lane away from the main road and off the beaten path. Located next to a waterfall that creates white noise during the rainy season, it is the most relaxing and peaceful environment you can find. Even in La Timba's enclosed spaces, the double laminated glazing means any sound from the surrounding wildlife reaches you only very faintly.

We take your work and the protection of your devices very seriously. That is why we have multiple safeguards in place. First, a monitored UPS with battery backup keeps the power on through outages. We also care about power quality — the grid in Bali is notoriously unstable — so we stabilise the voltage to protect your laptops and chargers against drops and fluctuations, and we have surge protection against both permanent and transient spikes from the electrical storms that are frequent here for part of the year. You will be in the safest place in Bali to work without worrying about outages or damage to your equipment.

Our own filtration and purification plant softens the water in every shower, so it is gentler on your skin and hair — and lathers soap with far less product. The cold-water circuit at every tap in La Timba is drinking water, thanks to a second stage of reverse-osmosis filtration followed by alkaline filtration before storage. The result is outstanding water for drinking: low in sodium and slightly alkaline. Independently tested by certified laboratories, we can assure you it is the safest, healthiest water in Bali — surpassing the bottled water available across most of the island. It is also why our espresso tastes so good.

Well-sealed doors and windows, together with air conditioners fitted with HEPA filters, remove pollen and particles smaller than 0.2 mm — the kind considered harmful when inhaled. This system means the air you breathe inside La Timba is fresh and clean, which benefits your health and productivity and gives you greater mental clarity. In a place like Bali this protection matters, because air quality is not always good: the burning of plastic waste and agricultural residue releases millions of microparticles that directly affect your health and mood.

We use no fossil fuels or derivatives in the kitchen — everything runs on high-efficiency electric appliances, alongside low-consumption lighting. We don't use an electric water heater either: all of La Timba's hot water comes from a solar collector stored in its tank. Our air conditioners use inverter technology, consuming significantly less than conventional units. Doors and windows are high-quality UPVC with thermal-break insulation, and every pane is double laminated glass — a triple barrier against energy loss. The building and its automatic blinds are designed to optimise sun protection for this location and its glazed areas. A full home-automation system makes La Timba a smart coworking space, automatically optimising and monitoring every device and its energy use.

No chlorine or aluminium-based chemical treatments — all you will notice is a light salty taste from the sea salt that keeps it clean (seven times less concentrated than the sea), working together with our electrolytic cell and a sand-bed filter. Bathing in brackish water has many health benefits: it improves the skin, reduces eye irritation, preserves swimwear fabrics and colours, and is free of that unpleasant chlorine smell. The water quality, combined with the turquoise colour from the white terrazzo floor and walls and softly rounded edges, makes every swim the most relaxing experience.
